Girls and Boys

I'll tell you about the ways that boys and girs are treated in my home culture.
When I was a child, I didn't like playing with dolls such as Barbie dolls.
I always played outside. For example, playing soccer, climbing a mountain and so on.
However, my parents didn't say to me "you should play like girls."
I wore clothes of  various colors .My mother likes boyish styles, so I sometimes wore black or blue colors.
I think they wanted me to be free, but on languages, they told me "you shoud speak feminine languages, because if girls speak musculine languages, it is too disgraceful."
I think their teaching was good for me.

  3. That is great that your parents gave you the freedom as a child to play outside and wear different styles of clothing. What do you think would happen if you spoke in Japanese in a very masculine way?
